Soul Hunters Outdoor Ministry is a ministry sponsored by the Eastern Baptist Association.  The purpose of this ministry is to reach the people of our communities right where they are. What is meant by that is we live in communities where people enjoy hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. Soul Hunters Outdoor Ministry is designed to take ministry to them. Our ministry team has been preparing and training to help our local churches host outdoor events for the purpose of community outreach. 

            Our one-day event normally starts at 10am with a short introduction and devotion. Our ministry team then divides the group into 6 different teams that will go out and practice  6 hunting skills. These skills include Archery, Skeet Shooting, 22 Pistol Target  Shooting,  Rifle Target Shooting, Tomahawk  Throwing & Knife Throwing. After the practice round  lunch is provided by the host church and then the competition begins. Each person will compete in all 6 skill events. At the end of the day there will be a time of worship and a gospel centered message, followed by an Awards Ceremony.

            The ministry team is planning 4 associational events which will consist of a men’s event, women’s event, youth event, and a couple’s event. The ministry team is also available to any church that would like  to host their own event. The ministry team is also planning to host  fishing trips and possibly hunting trips.

            The Association has been blessed by a couple of sponsors that have allowed for the purchase of  a few start up items. The Association is currently working on constructing a mobile elevated shooting platform. Donations will be much appreciated- just contact Richard Weeks, (See contact info above).
