The Eastern Baptist Association has a rich history in mission involvement. Since 2007 the foot prints of the Eastern Baptist Association have been in at least 40 different places across the globe. With 23 in the states and 17 in foreign countries. In some of these places our Association has been several times, for example the work in New Mexico was a five-year, six trips partnership; Haiti has been eight trips in seven years. Also, a lot of  local work such as building wheel chair ramps, rebuilding homes during Hurricanes Matthew and Florence and  helping with the tornado events that have impacted our area, the sewing ministries, I could go on and on about the work that has been done by the hands and feet of the churches of the E.B.A.

It is our belief that as we go that we have responsibility  to

carry the Gospel to the places that God leads us. It is

through these efforts that we fulfill the Great Commission.

Matthew 28:18-20
18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

We also believe that by being obedient to the Great

Commission we are also being obedient to the two greatest

commandments.

Matthew 22:36-40 (NKJV)
36  "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
37  Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
38  This is the first and great commandment.
39  And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
40  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
