CORD Student Ministries

CORD Student Ministries is a ministry through the Eastern Baptist Association with the hopes of serving those churches and their communities.  We want to promote unity within the churches of the EBA and the communities in which they exist.  We want to provide opportunities for student leaders in churches to meet and fellowship with one another and discuss what student ministry looks like in their context.  We hope to do this two different ways.First, an annual conference. The CORD Conference is for Pastors, Student Pastors, and Student leaders. Our goal is to provide an opportunity where leaders learn and grow in their ability to lead their student ministry.   We hope to do this through speakers, resources, and fellowship with others student leaders. Second is through small mission camps called Reach Weeks.  These are weeks where students and their leaders can actively serve in small mission projects while also participating in a camp experience by staying at the EBA office and attending worship services each night.  We want to see student ministries thrive in our association.  We believe that will most likely happen through  gospel centered teaching, discipleship through relationships, and reaching out into the community with missions. We hope to provide opportunities to gown in these things.  Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” At CORD Student Ministries we want to stand beside local student ministries in unity in order to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
