Eastern Baptist Association
Women On Mission EVENTS &
Meetings
The 115th Annual Women on Mission
Meeting was really
Spectacular!
After a delicious meal
the new leadership team
and officers were announced-
And then we all started
sharing about the mission
projects that our individual groups enjoy most!
Dobson Chapel has some of those wonderful "bakers"
in their church and they love to reach out with some of these delicious goods in hand!
Beulah enjoys collecting pop tops for the Ronald McDonald House-such a great cause for action!
Wallace First loved preparing a beautiful prayer garden at Charity Mission Center-
these ladies also maintain the garden and it's enjoyed by so
many volunteers!
Great way to promote prayer!
Phase 1 & 2
Rowan had an elegant table showcasing all of their different missions groups and to give Praise to our King Jesus for their upcoming birthday in October-275 Years!!!
Keep working for the Lord!
Peace has fun with the 12 Days of Christmas each year by making someone's Christmas season a little brighter!
And of course Robin and Amity had a terrific way to present it-
We may never again hear the
12 Days of Christmas sung so beautifully-
Way to Go Girls!
Rose Hill and Mt. Gilead have hearts for babies ! They have showers for those mothers who choose Life and get help from Lifeline Sampson. God's most supreme creation being protected!
Great Job!
Garland spreads a little Joy as they hand out Joy dish detergent and share the love of Jesus!
Everybody needs dish soap and Everybody needs Jesus!
Great Project!
Sharon loves to prepare shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child-
They are planning to send 400 boxes this year!
Wonder how many smiles those little boxes will create over the course of a year?-Countless!
Great Project!
Johnson makes prayer cloths with crosses as a way to witness and assure others that they are in prayer for them-
Great visual!
Corinth and Magnolia have birthday parties for those living in special help centers. Everybody wants to be remembered on their birthdays-Great Job ladies!
Grove Park loves to feed the hungry-meet the physical needs first so they have ears for the gospel-
Keep it up!
Poston hosted a
Tim Tebow
"Night to Shine" Winter Wonderland Event for Duplin County-
It was fabulous!
Great Event Ladies! Keep on spreading the Light of Jesus!
Our 3rd Annual Pumpkins & Praise Fall Festival was a Great Success!
Peace and Sharon Baptist Church Choirs lead the Praise and the local Queens brought more entertainment!
Mr. Paul Langston is the man who started the Wheelchair Ramp Ministry years ago-He has sinced moved on to a calling with the Baptist on Mission but comes back every year to make funnel cakes, cheese curds and other treats to sell and support the ministry he started!
We Love You
Mr. Paul!
Our WMU booth had great crafts and hand painted
works of art!
Carolyn Cottle of Peace
was our lead ticket salesman again this year-
Way to Go Ms. Carolyn!
Amelia Henderson
made her famous Lemonade which she always donates to the Wheelchair Ramp Ministry.
Great Job Amelia!
Several of our churches had booths, sold some items, auctioned some great pieces and
some just "spread the love" of Jesus to those attending!
Fantastic Fudge Garland!
You missed a treat if you didn't try
Island
Creek's Boiled Peanuts or Strawberry Fig Perserves
Or Peace Baptist's homemade cinnamon buns, caramel corn and homemade ice cream
or Johnson's wonderful chocolate chip cookies and tons of other delicious treats
Rowan always knows how to "take care of a crowd's hunger" and they did with their Turkey BBQ Sandwiches
It was just a great day to sit back, take in the crowd, do a little shopping, a lot of eating and "Praise our Great God for all He's doing"
These girls dance bare foot in the grass-Great Job girls!
Always just the right sounds- Way to Go!
Great Fun!
Great People!

The 2023 WMU Annual Meeting
The Evening started out with dinner and great company
And some of the kids from Dobson Chapel presented a song through physical expression
Tammy Weeks encouraged the group to
"Ignite their Passion
for Missions"
And she explained that her passion began in retail years ago and now God is using that passion to build wheelchair ramps through the sales at the new Second Hand Heaven
Thrift Store!
Mr. Mike Mizingo
performed "I can Only Imagine"
and then
introduced the models wearing some of the purchases they made at the Thrift Store -
Amelia Henderson , our very own "Little Miss Mission" did a great job showing off her purchases-you just can't get any better than this-no matter what the price!
Mitchell and Wendy Henderson are very smart shoppers-finding things for the whole family!
Looking great Zachary!
Nell Carter, (left) and Joyce Carr, (right) are showing off their fantastic bargains-
Tammy Weeks, (left) and Sonia Guardado, (right) find lots of deals-whether
you're looking for everyday or evening attire!
Pat Troubaugh, (left), and Andy Beard, (right), are a couple of our pastors that love to shop thrifty-If you're looking for the golf course or the pulpit, The Thrift Store has you covered!
And you know our Grand babies love it when Granny goes to the Thrift Store Shopping! Cute "Little Emma" loves her new school dress!
God calls some to give, He calls some to sort and clean, and He calls some to sell and buy- The Second Hand Thrift Store definitely has a place for you to fit in!
Our Community benefits from our ministries that the Thrift Store supports and we get such great JOY just for being involved!
Great Way to be "On Mission for Christ!"
